Principal’s Welcome

Welcome to St Joseph’s Primary School, Merewether.

As Principal, I feel incredibly privileged to lead such a vibrant, faith-filled, and dynamic learning community. Each day at St Joseph’s offers new opportunities to witness the joy of learning, the strength of relationships, and the spirit of collaboration that exists between students, staff, families, and the broader parish community.

At St Joseph’s, we are committed to nurturing the whole child – academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally. Our dedicated staff work in partnership with families to create a learning environment where every student feels valued, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential.

Our students are encouraged to explore and grow through a broad range of learning experiences. Whether it’s through rich classroom discussions, participation in creative arts and sporting opportunities, involvement in faith and service initiatives, or engagement in wellbeing programs, students are empowered to develop confidence, curiosity, and compassion.

We take great pride in our welcoming school culture and strong sense of belonging. From Kindergarten through to Year 6, our students are part of a community that values kindness, respect, inclusion, and excellence. Our learning and play environments continue to evolve to support innovation and engagement, ensuring our students have the best possible spaces to learn, grow, and thrive.

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about St Joseph’s. We invite you to explore our website and discover what makes our school such a special place to belong and learn.

If you are looking to enrol, I would welcome the opportunity to meet with you and your child for a guided tour of our school. Please do not hesitate to call our office on (02) 49612827 or email admin@merewether.catholic.edu.au to organise a convenient time to meet.
